Esther Lopez



After graduating from the University of Murcia in 2015, Esther completed an externship at a referral hospital in Wiltshire before returning to Spain to work in first opinion practice. Ester then moved to Ireland where she worked as an extern in a first opinion and referral practice prior to taking a position as a veterinary surgeon in Scotland.

Esther joined Southfields Veterinary Specialists in November 2017 as a rotating intern. Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging are her main areas of interest.

In her spare time, Esther has two little rescue dogs and two cats and she enjoys travelling, cooking for family and friends and taking part in outdoor activities such as kayaking and snorkelling.


Filipa Lyseight



Filipa completed her Masters degree in Veterinary Medicine with honours from Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias University, Lisbon, Portugal in 2017. During her studies, she completed several externships, mainly in small animal practices, including 6 months at VRCC. Her main interest is Oncology though Cardiology, Anaesthesia and Endocrinology also captivate her.

In her spare time, Filipa likes to travel and spend time with family/friends. ​


Amrita Mohanty



Amrita grew up in the Cayman Islands, a British Territory and completed her higher education in the United Kingdom.  She graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2012 with a BVM&S degree and has completed several years in first opinion practice, as well as emergency and critical care work.  

When Amrita is not at work she produces water colour paintings as a hobby and loves to socialise with friends and family.  She also loves to travel and meet new people and see as much of the world as possible. Amrita is thoroughly enjoying being a Veterinary intern and has aspirations to complete a residency in the future. 


Emiliya Peneva



Emiliya completed a degree in Bio Veterinary Science before moving to the Royal Veterinary College in London to complete a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She then worked in a small animal first opinion practice prior joining Southfields Veterinary Specialists in 2017.

Emiliya wishes to specialise in Surgery in the future.

In her spare time, Emily loves travelling, drawing and swimming.


Anna Wybieralska



After qualifying from Wroclaw University of Life Sciences in Poland, Anna worked in general practice before joining Southfields Veterinary Specialists in July 2017 to undertake a rotating internship. 
During her time at university, Anna participated in a study abroad programme, where she spent one year at the University of Zaragoza in Spain and the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hannover, Germany.  After graduating, Anna completed a 3-month externship in Internal Medicine and Oncology at VRCC before it became Southfields Veterinary Specialists.
Anna’s interests lie in small animal internal medicine and oncology and in her free time, she likes to travel and spend time with her friends and family.


Lavra Zajc



After graduating from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Lavra completed an internship in a referral hospital before working as a veterinary surgeon in general practice for three years. During this time, she attended several externships in both the UK and the USA.

Lavra joined Southfields Veterinary Specialists in December 2017 to complete a rotating internship. Her particular area of interest is oncology and she is also enthusiastic about CPD and regularly attends World Congresses. Once Lavra has completed her rotating internship, she hopes to continue with a residency programme and become a board certified oncology specialist.

When she is not at work, Lavra loves spending time going for long countryside walks with her Belgian Shepherd, Suri, and relaxing with family and friends. She also enjoys playing tennis and practising yoga.


Marco Zanni



Marco graduated from the University of Milan in 2016, with a Masters Degree with Honours in Veterinary Medicine. During his studies, Marco completed a 2 year pre-graduation internship at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Milan incorporating all aspects of veterinary medicine, but in particular surgery and ophthalmology.

Following graduation, Marco worked in first opinion practice in Italy, before moving to the UK to complete an externship at Southfields Veterinary Specialists in surgery and anaesthesia. Marco began an internship with us in December 2017.

When Marco is not at work, he enjoys trekking, photography and bird watching.


Matteo Fantauzzo



After graduating from the University of Terano in 2016, Matteo completed several externships in both Italy and the UK and worked in general practice before joining Southfields Veterinary Specialists as an intern.  Matteo is particularly interested in medical oncology, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging and clinical pathology and is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Veterinary Oncology.

In his spare time, Matteo loves to cook, travel and spend time with family and friends, especially his beloved Labrador, Baloo.

Isabel-Martorell Albaladejo

Isabel Martorell Albaladejo



Isabel graduated from the University CEU Cardinal Herrera in Spain in 2015 and then went on to complete externships in Spain and America.  Once her externships were complete, Isabel started her rotating internship at the ARS Veterinaria Hospital in Barcelona, gaining her experience in all areas, but in particular in her main subject of interest, soft tissue surgery.

Isabel joined the Southfields Veterinary Specialists team in March 2018.

When not at work, Isabel enjoys walking her dogs and taking part in sports such as surfing and running.


Maria Bolelli


Maria graduated from the University of Bologna in 2015 and spent a year working in a first opinion practice in Italy before moving to the UK in 2016.  She worked in general practice in London, treating dogs, cats and exotic pets, before joining Southfields in May 2018.  

Maria's areas of interest are surgery, emergency and critical care, dermatology and internal medicine and she wishes to pursue further specialisation in the future.

Away from work, Maria cares for her pet Chihuahua and two cats, and enjoys travelling, photography and spending time with her family and friends.
