Job Description

Southfields Veterinary Specialists is currently recruiting for a Facilities Cleaning Operative, reporting to the Facilities Manager to provide exceptional care and support for our colleagues and facilities – ensuring our core values and commitment to excellence are provided at all times.

The Facilities Cleaning Operative reports directly to the Facilities Manager and works closely with all support teams to ensure that we are able to maintain our services at all times.

To be successful, you should possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as art of a large and small team. You will have strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Working as part of a team on rotating shifts, you will:

  • Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
  • Use specialised cleaning equipment
  • Ensure clinical standards of cleanliness are maintained in both clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Cooperate with the rest of the team
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
