Handsome Shanook was out for his normal walk, when he befriended some fisherman in the park and cheekily took a fishing hook from their tackle box.

He was referred as an emergency to Southfields where Christopher Scudder, Petros Frezoulis and the medicine team acted quickly to remove the hook from his oesophagus. Luckily for Shanook, the hook had not gone too far down and the team managed to prise the hook out.

Shanook is now making a swift recovery at home.
