Our Rotating Interns are all recently qualified vets who are undertaking an internship at Southfields as part of their post-graduate training. They work in close collaboration with senior clinicians in each discipline.
Alexandra Andres
Rotating Intern
DVM, MSc Emergency and Critical Care, MRCVS.
Alexandra graduated from the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest in 2023. During my studies, She gained practical experience as a veterinary assistant in both general and specialist practices, including internal medicine and neurology departments across multiple clinics in Bucharest.
Following graduation, Alexandra worked as a general practitioner and emergency veterinarian at A&A Medical Vet, with an increasing focus on neurological cases.
Outside of my professional activities, she enjoys hiking, attending music concerts, travelling and spending time with family, friends, and her cat.
Ana Cheroto
Rotating Intern
MV MVetMed MRCVS
Originally from Brazil, Ana is a veterinary surgeon with a particular interest in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and ECC.
After graduating, she gained experience working in a variety of clinical settings and different countries, proving that no matter where you work, pets are equally talented at keeping vets on their toes.
When she is not working or studying, Ana can usually be found reading science fiction, spending time with her family, or crocheting.
She is excited to undertake her rotating internship at Southfields Veterinary Specialists and make the most of the learning opportunities ahead.
Emma Fish
Rotating Intern
BSc, DVM, MRCVS
Emma grew up in Australia and completed her veterinary degree with the University of Melbourne in 2023. She spent her first year in a first opinion practice in Melbourne before moving to London, where she pursued an interest in emergency medicine by joining a 24-hour emergency group, servicing animals with a mobile unit and from a central hospital.
Emma possesses a wide-ranging interest for areas of veterinary medicine and has embarked on a rotating internship to broaden her expertise while exploring potential specialties.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys travelling and has made the most of living in Europe over the last 18 months. When at home she can be found knitting, sewing or reading.
Sharron Lee
Rotating Intern
MRCVS
Sharron qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2024 with a dual-degree in Accelerated Veterinary Medicine and Bio Veterinary Sciences.
Sharron then practiced in Hong Kong and worked as a small animal practitioner across two day clinics and a 24/7 emergency hospital.
Sharron developed a few clinical interests as she started her career, mainly internal medicine, cardiology, geriatric care and ultrasonography. Spending time with patients and owners has also led Sharron to develop increasing passion towards client education.
In her spare time, Sharron has undertaken two clinical certificates in dermatology and diagnostic imaging. Sharron also has avid interest in research and has worked on VetCompass papers on brachycephalic breeds and ferrets.
Apart from travelling and café-hopping, Sharron’s other hobbies include language-learning, Pilates, gaming and spending time with her cat Muji.
Gloria Miteva
Rotating Intern
MRCVS
Gloria graduated with a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Forestry, Sofia, in 2017. During her mandatory practical internship, she developed an interest in ophthalmology and surgery.
After graduating, she moved to the UK, where she worked with farm animals and travelled around the country. In 2018, Gloria moved to Torquay, where she worked in a small animal practice for several months.
Gloria then moved back to Bulgaria, where she helped her colleague develop a small animal practice and worked as the lead veterinarian for four years. During this period, she gained experience in emergency and critical care, worked with exotic animals, and further developed her surgical skills. She has a particular interest in veterinary ophthalmology and enjoys continuing to expand her knowledge in this field.
In her spare time, Gloria enjoys reading books, particularly on psychology, neuroscience, and personal development. She is also passionate about nutrition and healthy living and practises Pilates almost every day.
Above all, she loves spending time with animals and believes there is always something we can learn from them about behaviour, social interaction, and compassion.
Natalia Ramirez
Rotating Intern
DVM, MRCVS
Natalia graduated from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in 2019. After graduation, she worked in first opinion and emergency practice in Spain before moving to Ireland, where she continued to develop her clinical and surgical skills in busy first opinion practices.
Natalia has a particular interest in veterinary oncology and soft tissue surgery. While working in clinical practice, she completed postgraduate certificates in Oncology and Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery. She particularly enjoys providing compassionate care to patients and supporting and guiding their families through complex clinical decisions. Her long-term goal is to specialize in veterinary oncology, which led her to join Southfields Veterinary Specialists in 2026. She also has a special interest in feline medicine and enjoys working with cats.
Outside of work, Natalia enjoys keeping busy and trying new activities. Her hobbies include travelling, drawing, practicing yoga, and she has recently taken up climbing. She also enjoys spending time at home with her three cats, experimenting with new recipes, and listening to music.
Diana Seres
Rotating Intern
DVM, MRCVS
Diana graduated in 2023 from the University of Life Sciences in Timisoara, Romania. After completing several externships in Germany, Sweden, and Romania, She then moved to Essex, where she spent the past two years working in a busy first opinion practice. Diana joined Southfields Veterinary Specialists in January 2026 to broaden her expertise, gain exposure to multiple disciplines, and take the next step towards specialisation.
Her main clinical interests are soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, and feline medicine. During vet school, She also presented research on chronic kidney disease in cats and dogs, which deepened her curiosity for internal medicine. Diana enjoys working with all animals, but has a soft spot for cats and at her previous practice took on extra charity cases to support their welfare.
When not at the hospital, you’ll find her cooking and playing music with her fiancé, painting and editing pictures to relax, or planning her next trip.
Caitlin Smith
Rotating Intern
BVetMS MRCVS BSc
After working in a first opinion practice in Essex, Caitlin joined Southfields in June 2026 to further develop her clinical skills and expand her knowledge across a range of disciplines.
Caitlin graduated from Harper and Keele Veterinary School in 2025 in the pioneer cohort after completing a Bio veterinary Science degree at RVC. She has interests in soft tissue surgery, medicine and exotics.
Outside of work, Caitlin enjoys walking, watching football as well as spending time with friends, family, and her rabbits.
Seyed Mohammad “Ash” Zahedi
Rotating Intern
DVM MRCVS
Ash graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. During his studies, he gained international clinical experience through exchange placements in Croatia and Slovakia, which helped develop his interest in multidisciplinary veterinary practice. He has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and surgery.
Outside of work, Ash enjoys hiking, camping, running, going to the gym, and travelling.
